This highly interactive, nuts-and-bolts workshop, entitled Work $mart, focuses on salary negotiations for working women in any sector. It is designed to give participants the tools, techniques, strategy and confidence to get paid fairly.
The workshop is being offered jointly by the City of Boston, Wonder Women of Boston, and Collaboratory 4.0.
The workshop will be facilitated by Jennifer R. Dunphy and Algelica Weiner.
Jennifer Dunphy is a senior director within O’Neill and Associates’ government relations division, focusing on higher education, municipalities, transportation, security and trade association work. Active in Democratic politics, Ms. Dunphy has worked on multiple campaigns in Massachusetts including, John Kerry for President, Chris Gabrieli for Governor, State Senator Marc Pacheco and member of finance committees for Hillary Clinton for President, Congressman Joe Kennedy and City Councilor Ayanna Pressley. Ms. Dunphy is a member of the Washington, D.C. area American League of Lobbyists, the Financial Services Committee of the New England Council and the Cristo Rey Boston High School’s Leadership Advisory Council.
Angelica Weiner is the Human Resources Director for the City of Boston Assessing department. Angelica is originally from NJ, and graduated from MIT with a Bachelors and Masters in Urban Planning. She has her PHR Certificate in Human Resources, and is interested in women’s issues, technology, entrepreneurship, HR and city planning. She has been an active volunteer with the Horizons for Homeless program since 2010, and enjoys running, cooking and learning Italian.
